1506446455ESCAZU, COSTA RICA - 2 Costa Rica Real Estate, Board of Regents member for Costa Rica in the Luxury Real Estate network, announces its continued expansion with the addition of two new agents. Matthew Hogan and Alonso Solano join the 2 Costa Rica Real Estate team adding decades of experience in sales and development to the Dominical and Southern Zone offices. Lead broker for this region, Scott Williams, will be leading the expansion of the 2 Costa Rica brand and franchise into the southern zone, which is proving to be one of the hottest new emerging markets in both Costa Rica and the region.

1506446476Matt Hogan, a native Marylander, attended college in Gunnison, Colorado at Western State Colorado University, where he received a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis on Hotel and Resort Management. After owning successful hospitality and design businesses and competing as a professional skier/snowboarder in the outdoor adventure Mecca of Crested Butte, CO, Matt moved to Costa Rica in 2006 and fell in love with the Southern Zone. After finding a rainforest mountain slated for timber harvest, he and his partner founded and co-created Finca Bellavista, a treehouse resort community. Finca Bellavista is famous for being known as the world’s first master-planned sustainable treehouse community, and due to the conjunctive efforts with his partner, this project has been flourishing for 10 years in Costa Rica’s Southern Zone. With an eye towards responsible development and environmental stewardship, Matt guides his clients with a keen sense for sustainable investments and shares his passion for the lifestyle and opportunity that this part of the country represents.

1506446497Alonso Solano, native to Quepos, Costa Rica, moved with his family to San Isidro, Perez Zeledon and has now lived in Escaleras, Dominical for the past seven years. While in San Isidro, he attended the National University of Costa Rica for general studies and Universidad Latina for Industrial engineering. In his early 20’s, Alonso worked for a local real estate company for five years. Later, he was offered a job in development and real estate sales for the upcoming exclusive development of Costa Verde Estates in Escaleras, Dominical. His tasks, among others, included running a crew, designing building sites, showing property to potential clients, cementing the road to the project, bringing and installing services and designing the website. He gained vast experience and knowledge in infrastructure for real estate projects. He also made direct and frequent contact with the local government, builders, contractors, surveyors and service providers. Just recently, he pursued the installation of fiber optic to the development and it was done shortly thereafter. Alonso has also worked with other foreign and local investors and has experience in several business ventures throughout the country, some of which he is a partner, including rental management of vacation homes, luxury real estate development, agricultural property management and construction supervision. He has also worked with environmental engineers to obtain all types of permits for the Costa Rican environmental authorities.
