"It's an honor to be involved with this world-class symphony and all the wonderful league volunteers," Wolff said.

The league was created by legendary Ima Hogg in 1937 to support the city's then fledgling symphony in development, education and fundraising. Wolff's long resume of community service is deep in all three areas.

Among the family members on hand for the celebration were Wolff's sister, Marie Kaplan, her daughter Cynthia Peatross - who came in from Shreveport, Louisiana for the occasion - and her son and daughter-in-law Ed and Katy Wolff
